3 Day Bynoe Harbour Cruise
Bynoe Harbour photo gallery
Day 1
Depart Cullen Bay at about 10:00 hours and sail west along the northern coast of Cox Peninsula passing Charles Point. We then cross Port Patterson to a protected overnight anchorage at Bare Sand Island. The flatback turtle is the common nesting turtle on Bare Sand Island, although the olive ridley does lay one or two nests each year. Green and hawksbill turtles forage in large numbers on the rocky reefs in the region. There is ample opportunity to go ashore and walk around the island.
Day 2
Depart the anchorage at Bare Sand Island after a relaxing breakfast and sail down into Bynoe Harbour, passing Indian Island and numerous pearl leases during the day. Our overnight anchorage is at the small fishing and holiday resort at Crab Claw Island. There are opportunities here to go ashore and swim in the pools at the resort, enjoy a drink at the tropical bar or try your hand at fishing or crabbing.
Day 3
After another relaxing breakfast we start to sail out of Bynoe Harbour, stopping briefly for lunch at Middle Reef before sailing back into Cullen Bay late in the afternoon.
