Arafura Sailing Adventures have sailed to our nearest northern neighbours for the last few years and are committed to assisting schools in The Tanimbar Islands.
We will be returning in September/October 2011 to continue our commitment to community engagement and are eager to share this experience with others who have similar values.
After Saumlaki we continue on to other beautiful locations in the Tanimbars or Kei Islands, the Banda Island group (centre of the spice trade in the 1600s and 1700s with the Dutch east Indies Company) or Ambon, the capital of the Maluku Province.
There are ample opportunities to visit villages, meet the locals, shop in local markets, fish, explore or snorkel in some of the best dive sites in the world.
Apart from our commitment to the Saumlaki community, each cruise duration (14 day minimum) and itinerary to the Maluku Province can be negotiated with our clients.
From $450 per day per person, with a maximum of 4 guests in 2 cabins, this is a unique opportunity to explore this wonderful remote region – the Forgotten Islands.
